Nika Film Awards Ceremony Postponed to Autumn

The Russian Academy of Motion Picture Arts has decided to postpone the Nika Film Awards ceremony to autumn. About it says on the academy website.

“The Council of the Academy has decided to postpone the 35th Nika National Film Award Ceremony to autumn. We will announce the exact date later, ”the message says. The reason for the transfer of the award is not called.

The first Nika award ceremony took place in 1988 at the Central House of Cinematographers. It is awarded annually in several nominations for the best domestic films of the previous year.

The founder and artistic director of the award is director Julius Gusman. At the same time, director Andrei Konchalovsky heads the Academy of Cinematographers. Konchalovsky received the award last year for the film Dear Comrades!
