Nightwish soloist Floor Jansen, 42, shares happy family news: a daughter has been born to the family.
The singer tells about the baby news on Instagram on Friday afternoon.
– He is here! We are very happy to announce our second daughter Lucy’s from birth, Jansen writes.
He says that the new big sister Freya also rejoices at the birth of his little sister.
– Health is not self-evident and I can humbly say that both the baby girl and the mother are doing well, Jansen says.
Nightwish canceled the last performance of their tour in Oslo this summer. Jansen’s health concerns were said to be the reason.
Jansen broke the silence on his Instagram account three weeks after the cancellation of the Oslo concert. He also canceled his solo performance.
– My health is not good enough for me to perform responsibly. I got really tired after my last concert in Finland. I was so exhausted that I collapsed and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. The doctors stated at the hospital that the baby is fine and I have no serious illnesses, the singer said.
Jansen’s husband is Sabaton’s drummer Hannes van Dahl. The couple’s first daughter was born in March 2017.
Jansen told about her breast cancer last fall. The breast cancer was operated on and treated with radiation.
Jansen has been the singer of Nightwish since 2013. PDO
