Nigeria and South Africa met in the semi-finals of the 34th organization organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Ivory Coast this year.
Nigeria took the lead 1-0 with the goal scored by William Troost-Ekong from the penalty spot in the 67th minute. South Africa brought the score to 1-1 with Teboho Mokoena’s penalty goal in the 90th minute. Nigeria, which dominated its opponent 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out of the match, whose normal time and extra time ended with a 1-1 draw, made its name in the final.
In South Africa, Gomolemo Kekana received a red card in the 115th minute.
Fenerbahçe’s Bright Osayi-Samuel, who started the match in the first 11 with the Nigeria jersey, is 120+2. He was replaced by Kasımpaşa’s Kenneth Omeruo in the minute.
