Nigeria and Ivory Coast faced each other in the African Cup final. Referee Dahane Beida blew the whistle in the match played at Alassane Ouattara Stadium.
Ivory Coast won the tough match 2-1 and took the cup to its museum.
The goals that brought victory to Ivory Coast were scored by Franck Kessie in the 62nd minute and Sebastian Haller in the 81st minute. Nigeria’s only goal came from William Troost-Ekong in the 38th minute.
Galatasaray’s new transfer, Aurier, started in the first 11 and was replaced by Singo in the 70th minute of the match.

Having achieved a happy ending by defeating Nigeria, Ivory Coast succeeded in winning the African Cup for the third time. Ivory Coast previously won the championship in 1992 and 2015.
