Greener mobility and modern waste management

Nieuwpoort wants to profile itself more strongly as a sustainable city in the coming years. The city is therefore investing in extra charging stationsbetter bicycle connections and a redesigned public space where cyclists and pedestrians are central. Major heritage and infrastructure works

Digital and customer-friendly city

The services are further digitized with a new websitean improved reporting center and the construction of an Administrative Center and a Technical Center. The city takes into account residents who are less digitally skilled.

Nieuwpoort focuses on talent development, career opportunities and well-being at work. “Quality service starts with motivated employees,” the mayor emphasizes.

Safety, mobility and economy

In addition to safe cycling and walking paths the city plans extra edge parking lotsa recreational one cycle route and a new one fire station. A business counter must support local businesses more efficiently. The tourist offer will be further expanded with attention to the marina, Vismijn and Westfront.
