Calvin Stengs continues his career temporarily at Antwerp FC. The creative attacker from Nieuw-Vennep is rented out for a year by his current club OGC Nice. With the Belgian team of Mark van Bommel, Stengs hopes to conquer a place in the World Cup selection of national coach Louis van Gaal.
Calvin Stengs made the switch from AZ to OGC Nice last summer. At the southern French club he failed to force a permanent base place. In total, the 23-year-old right winger made 32 games, where he scored once and also provided one assist.
At Antwerp FC, Stengs will play together with former AZ player Vincent Janssen and former Ajax player Jurgen Ekkelenkamp. Tonight the Belgian club will play against Union SG at its own Bosuil.
