Nienke Habing new flower queen Corso Eelde

Nienke Habing from Eelde has been elected as the new flower queen of the Flower Parade Eelde. She was presented with her crown by Marjolein Nanninga, who held the title for a total of three years due to two canceled editions.

The election of the flower queen had a different setup this time. All participants had already completed a preliminary round with the jury, which took place completely behind closed doors. The three finalists were chosen during this preliminary round and were allowed to compete for the title last night.

Habing was chosen by the public as the new flower queen. During the tour of the parade floats on September 3, she will be accompanied by Marise Kregel from Eelde and Anouck Bowedes from Kiel-Windeweer as her ladies-in-waiting.

The Eelder flower parade will experience its 65th edition on 3 September. Fifteen parade cars drive through the village, the theme this time is ‘Work on the shop’. RTV Drenthe broadcasts the parade live on TV Drenthe.
