Jule Niemeier has parted ways with her coach Christopher Kas after the disappointing end of qualifying for the US Open in New York. This was reported by the “Bild” newspaper on Monday evening. The 43-year-old former tennis pro had coached Niemeier since April 2022.
Niemeier (24) had failed in the first qualifying round for the hard court Grand Slam on the Greek Despina Papamichail and had thus reached the low point of their earnings crisis.
After surprisingly getting into the Wimbledon quarterfinals and then reaching the round of 16 in New York last year, the Dortmund player is chasing her form and will fall out of the top 100 in the world rankings after the US Open.
