Zonneveld had one of the best days of his darts life yesterday by beating world champion Wright in an exciting match 6-5. It was much more difficult against Gilding, who also caused a surprise by eliminating home favorite Dimitri Van den Bergh. It was still the same until 3-3, but then Zonnveld had to recognize his superior in the number 60 in the world.
Dirk van Duijvenbode and Danny Noppert now have to keep up the Dutch honor in Wieze in Belgium. Van Duijvenbode will play in the eighth finals this afternoon against the Welsh top darts player Jonny Clayton, Noppert will meet the Englishman Joe Cullen. Michael van Gerwen and Jelle Klaasen crashed yesterday and are therefore no longer in the tournament.
