Hansa lost 2-0 at KSC
Thanks to a hat-trick from Florian Niederlechner, Hertha BSC stayed in touch with the top regions of the table. Coach Pal Dardai’s team won 5:1 (2:1) against newly promoted SV Elversberg in the Olympic Stadium on Sunday. After several lost leads in the last few weeks, the Berliners decided the game early this time. In front of 33,097 spectators, Linus Gechter (12th minute), Niederlechner (23rd, 61st and 67th) and Jonjoe Kenny (71st) scored for the home team. Thore Jacobsen (15th) made it 1-1.

Hansa Rostock squandered a 2-0 lead at Karlsruher SC
Substitute Budu Zivzivadze saved Karlsruher SC a lucky point in the basement duel in the 2nd league against FC Hansa Rostock. The Georgian striker equalized from close range in the 81st minute to make it 2-2 (1-2), after Hansa had previously dominated the game for long stretches and had already led 2-0. Junior Brumado (16th minute) and Damian Roßbach (34th) initially scored for the guests in front of 23,159 spectators, Igor Matanovic (44th) was able to reduce the deficit for KSC shortly before the break.
Zivzivadze had recently secured a 4-1 win for Baden against 1. FC Nürnberg after coming on as a substitute with a brace shortly before the end. KSC remains 14th in the table with 17 points. in front of the Rostock team with the same points. Both are one point ahead of the relegation place.
The Karlsruhe team initially seemed insecure and hardly had any chances to score. Rostock, on the other hand, was effective: Brumado shot the guests into the lead at the first opportunity after an assist from strong playmaker Svante Ingelsson. Then it was Roßbach who, left alone by the sleepy Karlsruhe defense, increased the score to 0-2. After Matanovic shortened the score shortly before half-time, the Karlsruhe team got into the game better in the second half. But after a short period of pressure, Rostock took control again. Then Zivzivadze scored after a mix-up in Rostock’s defense to make it 2-2.
