Cancellation of 96, St. Pauli & Co.
Nicolas Kühn is about to say goodbye to Bayern Munich. The winger, who was loaned to Erzgebirge Aue last season, has been linked with a move to Rapid Wien. As “sky“reported, the 22-year-old is said to have already given the Austrian first division club a verbal promise. The obligatory medical check is due in the coming days.

The former German junior international is contractually bound to Munich, where he was only used in the second team, until 2023, so a fee for the left foot is due. This should be in the mid-six-digit range. It will be the second time that a club has taken money for a commitment from Kühn. In 2018, Ajax Amsterdam paid RB Leipzig 2 million euros for the services of the then 18-year-old, who was only active in the youth team of the “Red Bulls”. Thanks to this move, Kühn is one of the most expensive German U18 transfers in history.
For Rapid, Kühn, who was awarded the Fritz Walter Gold Medal in 2019, reportedly canceled other interested clubs such as Darmstadt 98, FC St. Pauli and Hannover 96. At the club from the Austrian capital, the right winger is considered a dream player and should replace Kelvin Arase (23), who is moving to Karlsruher SC.

Kühn played 37 third-division games for Bayern, in which he was involved in nine goals. For Erzgebirge Aue, with whom he was relegated, he made 27 appearances as a regular in the recently completed season (three goals, four assists).
