The fact that Georges-Louis Bouchez becomes a reservist in the army is remarkable because the man is also MR chairman. But he is certainly not the only one who has signed up: Defense has more than 5,000 reservists. Nicolaas (32), Greet (43) and Geert (60) are three of them and explain why they chose it. “During the attack in Zaventem, I was blown away by the second bomb. I was shocked. I have a medical degree and I wanted to help people, but I couldn’t. I never wanted to experience that again.”
