Due to a family matter, national player Nico Sturm is taking a break from the San Jose Sharks from the North American professional ice hockey league NHL. The team will miss the runner-up world champion in the next two away games against the Vancouver Canucks (November 20th) and the Seattle Kraken (November 22nd). The California franchise announced this on Friday.
The striker, a 2022 Stanley Cup winner with the Colorado Avalanche, “took a leave of absence from the team due to a personal family matter,” the club said in a statement. And further: “Out of respect for Nico’s privacy, the organization will not make any further comment.”
