‘Nick & Simon provoke a fuss all by themselves!’

Angela de Jong believes that Nick & Simon themselves are guilty of all speculation about their future. They can easily break the silence and issue a statement, according to the opinion diva of the AD.

Nick Schilder and Simon Keizer seem to be breaking up as a duo. The rumor came out through the magazines a few weeks ago and since then there has been plenty of speculation. Last week they had their first performance since the speculation started and backstage the tension seemed to be cut.

“They provoke themselves!”

Nick and Simon still keep their lips tight, because they have made agreements with Eva Jinek. They will be sitting at her table next Monday and she could really use a publicity stunt. After all, her viewing figures have been under heavy pressure for some time.

Precisely by being silent, the gentlemen owe the media fuss to themselves, Angela de Jong responds in the AD Media podcast. “It has a high speculative content, but of course they also provoke it a bit themselves by putting something out and then saying again: ‘No, we’re at Jinek then.’”

Speculation

Nick and Simon are professional enough to know that the show media will be full of rumours for weeks. “Yes, then you know that there will be speculation for weeks.”

Does Angela feel like that Nick & Simon interview with Eva? “Nick & Simon is not the conversation I’m really looking forward to. Of course I watch Jinek, but I watch everything. I’m actually a bit tired of the subject.”

Nonsense

Marcus den Blanken, Angela’s colleague at the AD, thinks that some gossip is really exaggerated. For example, viewing figures expert Tina Nijkamp states that the gentlemen have not looked at each other for an hour in the SBS 6 show I Want Your Song. “Keep yourself busy with the ratings!”, Marcus sneezes.

He continues: “You can’t say they didn’t look at each other at all, because that moment was just to see that they looked at each other. All this nonsense is made up! Just go and do normal things.”

Apart

Marcus is curious about what the gentlemen have to say. “Now I want to know why Nick Simon’s wife is no longer following.”

Angela: “They will look at each other a lot at Jinek and say that everything is fine, but that they are going to split up anyway. And that they will part one last time before a big concert.”
