After a very long period of rumors about their alleged fight, it is finally over on April 10: Nick & Simon will give their very last concert as a duo. Curiously enough, the two have not appeared together in front of the camera for a while; also at De Vrienden van Amstel Live they were only interviewed separately from each other.

No more interviews

Now it appears that Nick & Simon have chosen never to give an interview together again. “Well, because the shows are standing. We have six sold out shows, six sold out clubs. The message is clear: we are going to stop, and there is not really more to say,” Simon confirms in front of the camera Show news.

Simon is beaming when he talks about the end of Nick & Simon. “End of an era. We have been working for almost two decades, almost seventeen years and it will be ready in three weeks. Then a time of unknown freedom, so I’m really looking forward to that. I am very much looking forward to that. I don’t have a plan, I’m just curious what the feeling will be.”

‘It’s a pity’

Show connoisseur Bart Ettekoven notices that Simon blossoms completely when he talks about the end of his collaboration with Nick Schilder. “He is completely beaming when he talks about it.”

Bart thinks it is a pity that they will never give an interview together again. “I do regret that. You would have wanted to ask for the very last time afterwards, when they come off that stage, like: ‘Gosh, emotional moment, tell us how it went’, and: ‘Good luck’, and wave them off .”

Did you give birth to Jinek?

It must have something to do with the much-discussed Jinek interview from August, says Bart. “Apparently that last experience with Eva Jinek was so bad… Of course they had so much shit about it and with body language experts who looked at it and were studying whether or not they had a fight.”

He concludes: “I am sorry. We were also always there when they had a new single to promote, but well… It is their right to say now: we are going to do those concerts, they are sold out anyway, so we no longer need the press for that matter. ”
