Nick Schilder is particularly disappointing with rather jerky statements in a double interview with his girlfriend Kirsten. “I think that’s super cool too. Why would you even say that?”
The two of them are on the cover of the Beau Monde this month: singer Nick Schilder and his girlfriend Kirsten. At a certain point the interviewer asks if the singer also has a romantic side. “I think I score a tight pass. I have my moments,” said the singer.
Hustling Nick
Nick then says that he is quite sophisticated when it comes to his in-laws. “At our office there is a florist and after a meeting I always bring a bunch of flowers. I prefer to plan such a moment when my parents-in-law are visiting and they see me coming with those flowers.”
Kirsten: “You also buy flowers for my mother and I think that’s so sweet.”
Nick: “Those are often flowers I get at a performance. Then I come home and tell my in-laws that I got it especially for them. That’s how I do it.”
Super stupid
Aaf Brandt Corstius therefore does not understand this at all, she says in her podcast Marc-Marie & Aaf Find Everything. “I think that’s really stupid! Of course you don’t have to say that.”
Co-host Marc-Marie Huijbregts: “I think that’s super stupid! I think that’s super cool too. Why would you say that?”
Aaf: “I think that is in the context of humor that he makes such a joke?”
Marc-Marie: “No, I don’t think so.”
Aaf: “Yes, he is deadly honest that guy. You don’t have to tell all that.”
She especially sympathizes with his in-laws. “They read this Beau Monde, don’t they?”
Marc-Marie: “I find it so strange that it works that way.”
Thank you note
Do you want to give flowers you received as a gift? Aaf questions her. “And then there is a thank you note: ‘Thank you on behalf of the theater ‘t Spant in Bussum.’ Then they got it right? Or you come back from a performance in the middle of the night and: ‘Yes, I have flowers for you!’ That is quite remarkable of course.”
Marc-Marie: “I think it’s quite special. He is also very fixated on his in-laws.”
Aaf: “Yes, especially his mother-in-law actually.”
Marc-Marie: “Yes, I think it is special that he does that.”
Geraldine
Incidentally, Marc-Marie also says that he is so crazy that RTL face Geraldine Kemper is from Volendam. “Of course it is a difficult village. Let’s be honest. By the way, I heard that Geraldine Kemper also comes from there, but I don’t think she has a Volendam vibe at all.”
He concludes: “Look, Mona Keijzer: yes, of course she comes from Volendam, I could have said that without knowing it, because she has a kind of vibe. If I saw a picture of her, I would already think: Volendam. But not with Geraldine Kemper.”
