Nianzou shortly before saying goodbye to FC Bayern

After the many prominent additions this summer of transfers, FC Bayern is still working on its squad for the current season. Up to three players could leave Munich by the end of August. For the first Bayern have now found a buyer.

According to consistent media reports, FC Sevilla from Spain are about to sign central defender Tanguy Nianzou. First had the Italian Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported about it, in the meantime “Bild” and “kicker” have also confirmed the information.

According to Romano, the German record champions have agreed to a change with the fourth-placed team from the last La Liga season. The club from Andalusia is aiming to sign Nianzou for five years this week. The defender is said to be in Spain to complete the medical check there.

The 20-year-old is said to be Sevilla FC’s top transfer target in the remainder of the transfer period, which ends on September 1. There is a transfer fee of 20 million euros in the room. According to “Bild” football boss Christian Falk, Bayern have also secured a buyback option and a share of future transfer proceeds.

Nianzou switched to Bayern two years ago and started his third Bundesliga season in Munich. Until the very end, he was unable to assert himself with the German industry leader, and since August 2020 he has only made six starting XI appearances in the championship.

Nianzou still has a contract with FC Bayern until 2024

Sevilla FC are still looking for a replacement for centre-back Jules Kounde, who left the club for FC Barcelona this summer. Apparently, the club bosses now trust the young Frenchman Nianzou with this role. The defender still has a contract with Bayern until 2024.

In recent weeks, Nianzou has also been considered a potential signing in France’s Ligue 1 at OGC Nice and Stade Rennes, as well as in the English Premier League at West Ham United. Champions League participants FC Sevilla are now obviously serious about courting the French U21 international.
