Nia Künzer announces imminent coaching decision

The German Football Association wants to announce shortly how it will solve the coaching question for female soccer players after the Olympic Games.

“We will communicate in a timely manner what happens next,” said DFB sports director Nia Künzer after the national team’s 2-0 win against the Netherlands in Heerenveen. Thanks to their success, the team booked their Olympic ticket for this summer’s Games in Paris.

Horst Hrubesch (72) will then play his last games as national coach there. If he failed, Hrubesch would have resigned immediately. “First and foremost, it’s important to me that the girls go there,” said Hrubesch.
