NHL: Stützle scores twice in Ottawa Senators’ win

The German ice hockey professional Tim Stützle has the Ottawa Senators in the North American professional league NHL to a home win over the Buffalo Sabres guided.

Stützle scored two goals in the 3:1 (1:0, 1:1, 1:0) against the team with his compatriot JJ Peterka. For the second time this season, the 20-year-old managed a brace in the NHL.

Stützle scored for the first time after just 47 seconds, in the third third the Viersen native made the 3-1 decision with 73 seconds to go. The Senators stopped Buffalo’s winning streak of six straight wins.

Storm wins with the Sharks

Nico Sturm won with the San Jose Sharks away with 5: 2 (0: 0, 3: 2, 2: 0) against Chicago Blackhawks. This marked the Sharks’ first win after three losses in a row. The visitors were 2-0 down in the second period but scored three goals in the final five minutes of the period and turned the game around. In his 14 minutes on the ice, Sturm remained without a goal.
