Second goal of the season for Stützle

Stützle scored his second goal of the season against Tampa; the striker hit an empty net in the final phase. With a good 22 minutes, he got the most ice time of all Senators attackers. Last season, Ottawa played no role in the fight for the play-offs.

“We have already taken a lot of beating as a team,” said Senators coach DJ Smith: “As young players, they have to develop and have often had to lose. We know how difficult it is to win here and that we fight for every inch must.”

Once again, Stützle’s teammate Brady Tkachuk (24) stood out, scoring twice as on Saturday and also contributing an assist.
