NHL scandal coach and manager beg for mercy – They covered up sexual abuse

Stan Bowman and Joel Quenneville left their jobs in the NHL after being caught covering up sexual abuse. Now both are aiming to make a return to the league.

Joel Quenneville is one of the NHL’s most successful coaches. PDO

Commissioner of the NHL Gary Bettman revealed at a press conference that Stan Bowman and Joel Quenneville have asked the commissioner to negotiate their bid to return to the league.

Bettman reminded that neither of the men is allowed to work for NHL teams. Bowman and Quenneville were both involved in covering the Chicago Blackhawks video coach by Brad Aldrich sexual harassment directed at a team player to Kyle Beach.

Bettman told the media that he plans to hold talks with the men after the Stanley Cup Finals to hear what they have to say.

Both Bowman and Quenneville left their jobs with the NHL in October 2021 when the Kyle Beach incident came to light. Bowman was working as the general manager of the Chicago Blackhawks at the time. Quenneville, on the other hand, was the coach of the Florida Panthers. The Blackhawks were fined two million for the incident.
