NHL: Moritz Seider and the Detroit Red Wings miss coup at the Boston Bruins

The German national ice hockey player Moritz Seider just missed a surprise coup in the NHL with the Boston Bruins with the Detroit Red Wings.

The Bruins, by far the best team in the league, lost the Michigan franchise 3-2 (2-0, 0-2, 1-0) despite a lightning start and suffered their seventh defeat in the past eight games.

The Red Wings were 2-0 up after five minutes before the Bruins lived up to their role as favourites. In 23:44 minutes of ice time, Seider was not involved in a goal, the Red Wings are still in 13th place in the east.

17 games before the end of the regular season, the playoff ranks for Seider and Co. are a long way away.
