The German ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl has with the Edmonton Oilers the next victory in the NHL celebrated and the Franchise-Record expanded to eleven successes in a row.
The Cologne player initiated the successful comeback in the 4:2 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs with the goal to make it 1:2. It was Draisaitl’s 21st goal of the season.
Thanks in part to Auston Matthews, Toronto had a 2-0 lead. Matthews leads the league’s top scorer list with 34 goals. The Oilers then turned the game around in the final third.
After a miserable start to the season, the Oilers are in the Western Conference now up Play-offs-Seventh place.
Stützle loses with Ottawa
Meanwhile, Tim Stützle suffered a setback. In the spectacular 4:7 against Colorado Avalanche gave his Ottawa Senators a possible victory out of hand. Stützle remained without a scorer point.
