NHL: Draisaitl scores, Oilers win

Leon Draisaitl increased his scorer points account in the NHL to 46. He won against Minnesota with the Edmonton Oilers.

Germany’s ice hockey figurehead Leon Draisaitl has scored his 19th goal of the season for the Edmonton Oilers in the North American professional league NHL. The native of Cologne was successful in the 5-2 win against Minnesota Wild in the 44th minute of the Oilers’ power play.

Draisaitl also managed another assist, so he now has 46 scorer points. In the Pacific Division, the Oilers are third with 32 points.

Peterka loses with Buffalo

John-Jason Peterka went empty-handed in overtime in the Buffalo Sabers’ 4-3 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins. After the last two wins, Buffalo suffered another defeat.

National goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer lost 4-1 to the Washington Capitals with the Seattle Kraken. It was the third loss in a row for Seattle. Grubauer posted a strong catch rate of 94.4 percent and saved 34 of 36 shots fired at his goal.
