Without the injured Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers suffered a defeat in the North American professional league NHL.
The Canadians lost 2-1 to the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday night. It was the first loss for the Oilers after two consecutive wins.
Draisaitl, about whose injury there was initially no further information, missed the 7-2 win against the Seattle Kraken on Friday for the first time this season.
Stützle loses with Ottawa
Tim Stützle also suffered a defeat with the Ottawa Senators. Despite a 2-0 lead, Ottawa lost 4-2 to the Detroit Red Wings. Stützle, who was on the ice for almost 23 minutes, managed an assist.
Things weren’t going much better for Nico Sturm and the San Jose Sharks. Even an assist from the 27-year-old could not prevent the 5-2 defeat at the Dallas Stars. For San Jose it was the third loss in a row.
