The Swedish premier league club HV71 has made an interesting acquisition in the attacking end, when the Helsinki-based Henrik Borgström25, packed his bags and returned to Europe after a gap of two years.

Borgström’s contract is for two years.

Borgström is the Florida Panthers’ first-round pick from the summer of 2016. Despite the early booking number, his career did not take the desired flight, but the forward accumulated a respectable 111 regular season games within five seasons.

In addition to the Panthers, he played for the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2021-2022 season and one game for the Washington Capitals in the season that ended. Senter’s season ended happily, as he won the AHL championship with the Capitals’ farm team Hershey Bears.

The reason for choosing HV71 as the next address is related to family relationships.

– I have relatives in Jönköping and I spent a lot of time there in my youth. I’m really looking forward to becoming part of the team, the player commented in the press release.

Finns also play in the Swedish team Kalle Maalahti, Mikael Seppälä, Tommi Tikka, Joonas Nättinen, Oliver Kaski and Joni Ortio.
