In November last year, the US crypto exchange Kraken started the beta test phase of its NFT platform. Non-fungible tokens (NFT) represent a specific digital or physical item on a blockchain. In the beta phase, 70 NFT collections were included on the platform. Now the company announced the official opening of the NFT marketplace with more than 250 collections in a Twitter post.

Communities behind the NFTs matter

In its press release, the crypto exchange announces that the range of NFT collections available on Kraken NFT has increased from 70 to 250 and plans to continue growing in the future. At the same time, Polygon, one of the fastest growing blockchains, was also integrated. The Polygon network is now available on the platform along with the Reddit Collectible Avatars collection.

According to Kraken, the communities behind the NFTs are often much more important than the collectibles themselves. That is why many of the most active NFT collections have been curated. In addition, there are now several hundred non-fungible tokens available on Kraken NFT for less than $100.

More than 200 different payment options

Kraken also advertises a high level of user and beginner-friendliness. Thus, users could decide for themselves whether to buy or sell NFTs with cash or cryptocurrencies. The system itself offers more than 200 payment options.

Another new feature is that there are no transaction fees, so-called gas fees, when buying and selling within Kraken NFT. Normally, these need to be collected when NFTs and other cryptoassets are transferred to and from the platform.
