NFL Veteran Talks Tom Brady Comeback

Tom Brady announced his permanent NFL retirement last February. Since the GOAT has already returned, the comeback rumors persist. A former teammate even brings up the right team.

Devin McCourty himself retired from the NFL a few days ago. Previously, the safety ran for the New England Patriots from 2010 to 2022. At his side until 2020: Tom Brady. The duo won the Super Bowl three times together.

On the Green Light with Chris Long podcast, McCourty was asked about Brady’s second NFL retirement. The 35-year-old initially explained that he didn’t think the quarterback legend would return to the big stage again.

However, according to McCourty, a suitable team would be waiting for him right on Brady’s doorstep. “I’m not saying he’s going to join the Miami Dolphins, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he decided, ‘Yo, I live in Miami now. They just brought in Jalen Ramsey.’ They have a lot of things that can work right over there,” said the NFL veteran.

NFL icon Tom Brady would face a strong Dolphins roster

Tom Brady left the New England Patriots in 2020 after 20 seasons to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with whom he won his seventh Super Bowl ring straightaway. The playcaller moved to Florida at the time because he saw a lot of potential with the Buccs.

Brady is likely to make a similar judgment about the Miami Dolphins, as McCourty emphasized. “The thought of him throwing the ball to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. I can see he would be very excited about that idea.”

Patriots fans, on the other hand, would be less enthusiastic. Miami and New England are direct competitors in the AFC East. Brady would meet his old love twice in the regular season.
