The Kansas City Chiefs are still unstoppable in the NFL. On the night of Friday (October 13th, 2023/CEST) the team celebrated quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ fifth win in a row in the US professional football league – against his favorite opponent Denver Broncos. The title defender won this duel 19:8 for the 16th time in a row, which is the longest active streak in the league.
Unlike so often, Mahomes wasn’t the decisive man, but the Chiefs’ defense ensured the victory. The defense gave Broncos playmaker Russell Wilson a bad evening; he only managed 95 pass yards and the Kansas defenders intercepted two balls directly from him. In the Offense was Harrison Butker at four Field goals – including one at the end of the first half from 60 yards – outstanding, Mahomes completed 30 of 40 passes for 306 yards to his teammates and came up with one touchdown.
