NFL QB Russell Wilson gives reason for Broncos soaring

The Denver Broncos started the current NFL season disastrously with 1-5. Since then, however, the team has been going from win to win. Quarterback Russell Wilson was not surprised by this turnaround on Sunday (local time).

In Week 12, the Broncos bagged their fifth win in a row against the Cleveland Browns (29:12). When asked about this winning streak, Russell Wilson pointed out the obviously unshakable self-confidence that prevails in the team despite the cold start.

“I never doubted our team and where we could go,” said the signal caller after the game. “We have overcome adversity. The reality is that we have much more to come.”

For this reason, regardless of the current form curve, they don’t want to fall into recklessness. “We have to stay humble and hungry. We still have a lot more to do. We feel like we’re just getting started,” Wilson sent a small but probably unnecessary declaration of war to the rest of the NFL.

After all, the Broncos’ winning streak should not have gone unnoticed by their upcoming opponents.

NFL experts divided on Denver’s playoff chances

Kevin Patra also made it clear once again on “NFL.com” that Wilson and Co. do not owe their success to an easy schedule.

“The quintet of wins didn’t come against fellow runners. Four of the five wins came against teams currently in the playoffs (Kansas City, Buffalo, Minnesota, Cleveland) and the fifth win came against a Packers team that was “could slowly find our way back into the chasing pack,” Patra wrote, confirming that Sean Payton’s team had good chances for the post season.

“ESPN” analyst Dan Graziano, however, does not want to overestimate Denver’s turnaround. “Denver is playing great, but there are definitely still a few setbacks ahead. The Broncos’ next three games are all away against the Texans, Chargers and Lions. If Denver comes out of it 2-1 or 3-0, I’ll be there,” he explained Expert.
