The NFL is still planning to use Frankfurt and Munich as venues for main round games in Germany and has no plans to visit other cities in the coming years.
“Berlin is certainly an exciting location, but we are very satisfied with the cities with which we have entered into partnerships and have a very close partnership there,” said NFL Germany boss Alexander Steinforth on the sidelines of the Super Bowl in Las Vegas .
The Carolina Panthers will play in Munich next season, the opponent has not yet been determined.
There will be another game in Frankfurt am Main in 2025. The city hosted two games last fall.
“We were very happy that we had these two games in Frankfurt, but it was clear from the start that this was special because the stadium in Mexico City is being rebuilt, and this is also the opportunity to go to Brazil now.” said Steinforth.
