The Los Angeles Chargers have qualified for the NFL playoffs for the first time since 2018.
On Monday (12/26/2022/local time) the Chargers in the US football-League clearly with 20:3 (10:3) in the Indianapolis Colts through, drove the ninth victory in the 15th game of the season and have a so-called wildcard secured for the finals. They benefited from the previous defeats of the New York Jets, New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders.
Behind the four leading teams of the four Divisions the Chargers currently have the best record in the American Football Conference on.
“I’m really proud of how this season has gone for our football team and what we’ve shown to make it into the postseason. That’s probably what I’m most proud of.”said head coach Brandon Staley: “Not just that we’re there, but also how we made it and what it took to make it. But that’s just the beginning for us.”
Ekeler and Dicker score
running back Austin Ekeler scored the first points for the guests in the second quarter with a running game to the end zone, Ekeler also marked the second in the last part of the game touchdown his team. Plus Cameron Dicker was with two field goals successful for Los Angeles. the colts had with one field goal temporarily shortened to 3:7 in the second quarter.
Fifth Colts bankruptcy in a row
The hosts had to put up with their fifth defeat in a row and had no chance of the game before the game playoffs. Nick Foles, actually third behind Matt Ryan and Sam Ehlinger quarterback, started for the first time this season. A pass attempt by Foles was intercepted three times by the Chargers defense, and the quarterback was knocked down seven times.
