Lots of sun, little wind
It’s the perfect combination for those who love great summer weather. The past few days we could already enjoy a clear blue sky and now that the wind has weakened, the weather is completely pleasant. Although it is normally ‘grab what you can get’ with regard to the nice weather during the Dutch springs, the sun is now working overtime, according to meteorologist Leander de Wit of Buienradar.
Today we have to deal with summer temperatures in many parts of the country, that is to say: temperatures of almost 25 degrees or higher. “In the southeast it may even be 28 degrees.” There is therefore a good chance that today the first official summer day of the year will be measured. That happens when the mercury rises above 25 in De Bilt.
Next week
The weather forecast for the coming week also looks fantastic. “Only on Monday is there a chance of thunderstorms and some showers, but the two days after it is completely dry again. Temperatures remain consistently higher than average, between 23 and 26 degrees.”
Wednesday is likely to be the hottest day of the week. After that, temperatures will drop slightly and there will be more chance of showers. “Next weekend we will have to deal with temperatures of around 20 degrees, which are normal temperatures for the time of year,” said de Wit.
