VfB Stuttgart will almost certainly have two exciting transfer periods ahead of them. From January 1st there will most likely be a very intense scramble for top striker Serhou Guirassy, who can leave VfB this winter thanks to a release clause of under 20 million euros. It was recently announced that the purchase option for Undav is even higher than previously known. According to “Bild”, the Swabians can sign the attacker from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion for around 18 million euros. The purchase option also contains further clauses that could still apply until the summer of 2024 and would cause Undav’s price to rise further.
The Bundesliga club said there should be talks in the spring. It is still unclear whether VfB can finance this transfer. Just like the sporting future of Nübel, whose contract is with FC Bayern. The Stuttgart-based company does not have a purchase option.
Is VfB threatened with a Zagadou poker in the summer?
The defenders Waldemar Anton and Hiroki Ito were also courted. The latter is said to have an exit clause of 30 million.
Now the TV channel “Sky” has revealed that VfB defensive warrior Dan-Axel Zagadou has also anchored an exit clause in his contract. The Frenchman could therefore leave VfB in the summer for 15 million euros. “Daxo’s” contract runs until 2026. However, the player would have the final say on possible interested parties in the summer.
Zagadou came to Stuttgart at the end of the 2022 transfer phase as a player without a contract and established himself as an absolute regular in central defense under coach Sebastian Hoeneß. In previous seasons, especially at BVB, he was often out due to injuries, but so far this season he has shown himself to be stable and fit. Zagadou impresses fans and coaching staff with good odds and very few mistakes. As a reward, he was on the pitch in every game.
