Instead of radiating unity and cohesion in the weeks of greatest relegation worries, there is still a bang at the management level of Bundesliga bottom Hertha BSC. Now an important official in the club has given up.
At least that’s what “Bild” reported on Thursday morning. According to information from the tabloid, Ingmar Pering has resigned from Hertha BSC – immediately and with immediate effect.
Pering is one of the seven members of the Executive Committee at Hertha BSC. He is considered a real veteran at the capital city club, having held various positions at the club since the spring of 2000.
The resignation will take place before the ordinary general meeting of the Berliners, which is scheduled for Sunday from 11 a.m.
Pering himself told the “Bild” and confirmed his departure: “Yes, I resigned after too many mistakes and glitches have occurred at Hertha BSC lately and I feel that my advice and suggestions are no longer sufficient be heard. I have now drawn my conclusions from that.”
Relationship with Hertha President Bernstein is considered burdened
He began working for Hertha BSC in 2000. Pering was initially on the club’s investment committee. From 2007 he was a member of the Old Lady’s Presidium.
In addition to a strained relationship with President Kay Bernstein, the recently submitted motions to vote out a member of the association against the entire Executive Committee were the main triggers for the resignation, Pering explained: “When there were applications to vote out the entire Executive Committee for the first time a year ago, I I swore to myself that I wouldn’t do anything like this a second time in this legislative period. That’s why I’m resigning now.”
For the Sunday meeting, there is still one more open construction site for the already ailing Bundesliga side.
