National coach Julian Nagelsmann has to do without the next father-to-be. According to Robin Gosens, Malick Thiaw is also not traveling to the meeting point of the German national soccer team in Frankfurt/Main.
The AC Milan defender and his partner are expecting their first child together. A replacement will not be appointed, as the German Football Association (DFB) announced.
For the same reason, Gosens (Union Berlin) is not available for the international matches against Turkey in Berlin on Saturday (8:45 p.m./RTL) and three days later in Vienna against Austria.
Nagelsmann nominated Leipzig’s David Raum as left-back.
