Just a few days ago, Quentin Fillon Maillet ended his collaboration with outfitter Fischer, and now the next French biathlon superstar has drawn a line under the collaboration.
On Friday afternoon, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet announced via Instagram that she would no longer work with Fischer in the future.
“From my first World Cup victory in Le Grand-Bornand 2017 to my ten World Cup medals and two Olympic medals, Fischer was by my side every step of the way,” wrote the 29-year-old: “Today we part ways, and I look back on the many years together full of gratitude and emotions.”
Braisaz-Bouchet thanked everyone “who was there for me in good times and in difficult times, who always believed in me and helped me push my limits.”
Who will equip the ski hunter from now on remains unclear. “Everything we have achieved together will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you, Fischer. To be continued…” Braisaz-Bouchet concluded her post, which included pictures of many career highlights.
Her compatriot Quentin Fillon-Maillet had also recently separated from Fischer and shortly afterwards announced the company Rossignol as his successor.
Braisaz-Bouchet trains away from the national team
Braisaz-Bouchet made headlines during the week when it was announced that she would be preparing for the upcoming biathlon season outside of the association’s structures.
Last October, out of the blue, the Frenchwoman ended her training with the national team and continued on her own elsewhere.
“She has decided to structure her training in such a way that a balance between work and private life is maintained, in which her family plays a central role,” said an FFS statement.
The decision is the result of “personal and sporting considerations that were taken in close coordination with the coaching staff […] were hit.”
