Newspaper: Germany waives compulsory vaccination against corona for everyone over 18 Abroad

During a debate recently in parliament, divisions already emerged. The parties wondered whether the obligation should not apply from a higher age, for example from the age of 50. Opponents doubted the usefulness of the vaccinations. They spoke of a violation of citizens’ fundamental rights. Proponents, on the other hand, believed that a vaccination requirement from 1 October would help prevent the corona virus from spreading again in the autumn and winter.

The obligation would not apply to people who have been demonstrably cured of the coronavirus. All other adults should have had three vaccinations by October. The obligation would also apply to foreigners who have been in the Federal Republic for more than six months. Refusals had to take into account a penalty of up to 25,000 euros.
