News | Sword Art Online Progressive

★★★★ Sword Art Online is a fairly successful anime (you can watch it on Netflix, you’re welcome) where there is an absolutely new and successful video game, which is at the same time a trap. The player fully enters the game. But if he dies there -as in the Matrix-, he dies in the real world. This film (a kind of prequel) abounds in action situations and has remarkable graphic creativity, especially when it comes to the grotesque and the monstrous (in this the Japanese are unmatched and it would be very good to analyze the meaning of the rare creatures that abound in his animated film). But the film leaves us thinking about the question of whether or not we want to continue living in what, for now, we call “reality”. That is the great question of 21st century art, and the plot of this beautifully drawn adventure poses it in various ways without letting action and fantasy take center stage.
