News | Mansion Tango Dinner Show

Alejandro, how were the beginnings of this undertaking?

Mansion Tango is a beautiful project that involves Culture, Art, Dancers, Musicians and Singers.

The idea arose between four friends: Oscar Mangione, Javier Fidanza and Martin Vegh and myself, to put together a project for a Tango Dinner Show, which differs from other Tango houses, and positions itself as an International Show of the highest range. .

The Building is a Palace that was built in 1858. It is the Headquarters of Unione & Benevolenza, declared National Historical Heritage. It has unique details in Latin America. We did a very important job to add value to the House, maintaining the original structure. It is a unique place in the city of Buenos Aires, and the effort made is with the conviction that it will shine again as in its years of splendor. To carry it all out, we formed different work groups, and at the same time we started a great remodeling. We changed the floors, we painted, we enlarged the stage, we raised the Musicians, we changed the entire electrical installation, we put the old dressing rooms located under the stage into operation, we improved the vitro and the ceilings, and many other things that are not seen, but always knowing that this place is a Historic Building, with details and artifacts specially brought from Italy, many of which are now irreplaceable.

We have always had the full support of the Unione y Benevolenza Commission, led by its President, Mr. Jorge Coluccio.

Rolando, what prominent personalities entered the Palace and what capacity does it have?

Political personalities from Argentina passed through this House, such as Julio Argentino Roca, Hipólito Yrigoyen, Arturo Umberto Illia, Arturo Frondizi, Juan Domingo Perón, Evita and Raúl Alfonsín, among others.

Also Escalfaro and Matarella, former Presidents of Italy, and many other international personalities.

In turn, important musicians such as Carlos Gardel, Lucciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, José Carreras, Skipa and many others.

The building has a capacity for 300 people comfortably seated. The official inauguration was on August 25, which was attended by officials, companies in the sector and the press.

Soledad, what services do you provide to the public?

We have a three course International Dinner Show, starter, main course and dessert, which includes drinks.

The Show, a timeless Tango show, is made up of twelve Dancers from the Marcos Ayala Company, who is the Choreographic Director, with the international Singers Oscar Mangione and Gisela Sara and with a Quintet led by the great violinist, Director and composer Erica Say Save.

The Show opens every day, with Dinner at 8:30 p.m. and the Show starting at 10:00 p.m.

In addition, we have a significant benefit in the value of the Dinner Show for Argentine Residents, so that they can learn about the new concept of the 2 x 4, two blocks from the Obelisk.

Alejandro, what makes you different in the field?

There are three Mansión Tango differentials:

An aristocratic building from 1858, the Show with prestigious artists on stage, and International Gastronomy.

Rolando, what are your goals for the coming years?

I participated in the opening and positioning of Esquina Carlos Gardel, which was the most important Tango Dinner Show house, and in several other houses, we feel that we have experience and an excellent team to position Mansión Tango in the first level.

The insertion of the House in an already consolidated market, taking advantage of the difference we have with a historic building, a first-class international show, and with a gastronomy where delicious international dishes coexist with typical Argentine specialties.

From the commercial point of view, we are going to focus on all types of public, we will participate in the great international fairs, and we will work as a team with national institutions such as CAT, Inprotur, the Tourism Entity of the City of Buenos Aires and several national organizations and the City.
