The new spring/summer 2022 collection by UNIQLO and Mame Kurogouchi: the pursuit of comfort and elegance
The third collaboration with fashion designer Maiko Kurogouchi promises a mix of comfort and elegance. Her brand is known worldwide for her timeless designs and innovative use of fabrics. With new materials and details that offer more freedom and flexibility by breaking the boundaries between outerwear and underwear, the collection is all about the new season and gives a new twist to everyday life.
The new AIRism, specially developed for this collection, is made from a high-quality, incredibly soft silk blend and has been used in tank tops and camisole tops with built-in bras and low backs. Refined knit materials in the 3D knit sweaters with a slight V-neckline and skirts with a slit that flatter the legs ensure that they are comfortable to wear even in summer. Small adjustments to bras and panties increase comfort.
Another addition are ultra-thin, absorbent period panties. An innovative three-layer structure wicks away moisture and provides a lasting dry feeling. Antibacterial and anti-odor properties absorb up to 10-15 milliliters of moisture. The thin, elastic AIRism material ensures a comfortable fit and offers more flexibility in everyday life.
The current color palette has been refined and gradations from white to beige and brown to black add a touch of warmth to everyday life.
