No this Adam Sandler already as Dracula in this (very nice) series of animated films about how traditional monsters relate to humans.
Here it happens that a technical device turns a human into a monster and monsters into humans, which triggers all kinds of adventures whose purpose is to say that nothing is better than the family that is chosen.
Without being up to the previous ones (especially the first one, but in all of them there are great sequences) and without the direction of the (Great) Genndy Tartakovsky (here producer as well as screenwriter), the characters and the design are enough to make watching the film widely enjoyable.
It is not often today to see films that treat us well and opt for happiness and humor without falling into stupidity. Even if, as happens in all apparently children’s fable, the moral is stated literally, the fun is there and it is noble
