We will see what happens with this film in these uncertain times, where in addition the argentinian cinema, no matter how good it is, it seems off the radar of ticket-payers. It would be a shame because Christian Bernard demonstrates in this film a real cinephilia and away from political correctness.
That is, even if one can feel in these Echoes… echoes of other movies with murder that it can be something else and turns of the screw, it is not about the explicit but about respect and knowledge (especially the latter) of the elements of a tradition.
Bernard, by the way, proves to be a very good acting director that returns to its best moments Diego Peretti. The rest is a well-constructed story and a climate built with just the right tempo so that the effects provided by the script work as they should.
Ultimately, the film is also a speech about fiction and its powerabout the role of the imagination when it penetrates everyday life through the path of the terrible: the story clearly reflects the idea.
