★★★★ It’s absolutely incredible that the sequel to one of the best non-(entirely) animated Disney movies of the last fifteen years has been released directly on its streaming platform. Because it is a film that requires -by detail, by humor, by deployment- to be enjoyed on the big screen. The film shows what happens to Giselle a few years after her establishment in the “real world” after leaving the universe of animated stories in which she lives. The comedy works well (James Marsden is always good in these fights) but the family story (formerly a good princess becomes a bad stepmother until she discovers the truth of love) is less interesting than that of the true fairy tale: the fight of man against time. It is a good film that tells us that fantasy and reality should not cross each other to fulfill its role.
