★★★ 1/2 Ingenious thriller, an old critic would say, where a young woman tries to find her missing mother with the use of intelligence and many, many cell phone, computer and tablet screens. Beyond the fact that the base story is nothing more than a well-disguised compendium of commonplaces, what matters to us is how a plausible conclusion is reached. That is why “witty”, although not always “intelligent”, which is not the same.
