It takes time to find your own voice. Sometimes an external factor twists our plans, or the rod is placed in the wrong place, or a reading of the market is made that does not match personal desire. A bit of all this happened to the bartender Mona Gallosi after acquiring her spectacular shed in Chacarita. Today, she finally feels that she has found a proposal that represents her: a bar with good cocktails and a gastronomy designed to accompany them, DJs playing good music, and an atmosphere that favors enjoyment, with living rooms, an 8-meter bar, and a splendid patio.
To drink there is a great variety of spirits (gins, vodkas, whiskeys, mezcal, pisco, etc) and cocktails created by Mona, with her distinctive personal touch. Some are more sober, like the Olivettini (gin, white vermouth, dry vermouth and olive) and the Serpente (gin, sparkling wine, celery and lemon); others that are sweeter, such as the Cañaveral (rum, triple sec, coconut, mango and flowers), and the Dry Punch (red bitters, gin, pineapple, lemon and raspberry); and others more daring, such as Kofuna Miso (Scotch whiskey, miso, Angostura and sesame), and De la Tierra (bourbon, peanuts, raspberry, cocoa, coconut).
The kitchen menu has snacks to accompany the cocktails, such as the artisan cheese board, and the delicious crunchy manioc with mussel ceviche. There is a “mild” section, to make a base in the stomach with options such as salmorejo (a variant of gazpacho without bread) with shrimp and mango tartare, and fried aubergines with honey.
For those who want to eat something substantial, there are entrees such as the roasted cauliflower sauce of coconut milk, peanuts and sour apple (an example of the many vegan and vegetarian options); sandwiches like bao de txitorra (something like a Korean choripan), and hamburgers (waygu and vegetarian). For those with a sweet tooth, there are desserts: churros with chocolate ganache, pavlova, and more.
Every night, from 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m., the line up of live DJs is renewed. Ideal to go with friends or to dazzle on a date.
