**** (Four stars)
Final season of creation by which – one could almost assure – Ricky Gervais will be remembered (even if you created the office original). This is where many of the stories and relationships of that English people looked at by this reflex misanthrope played by Gervais, a guy who searches every day for a reason not to commit suicide after losing his wife. He has achieved it for two seasons, here we go for the last one and we are not going to spoil anything.
However, we will say that stoic sadness core of the character is precisely what generates the comedy: In the face of terrible misfortune and hopeless loneliness, everything else in the world is irrelevant and ridiculous. But there is something that we could call religious (or moral, but it is rather religious) atheist: looking for the reason in others.
We are ridiculous in the eyes of sorrow, but that ridiculousness that causes the smile is what justifies us. Gervais perhaps appeals to the poster phrase at times, but the aforementioned pirouette is a powerful speech about the healing power of comedy.
