The Parameters Committee is being asked to issue a new opinion on the statutory parameters as of 1 January 2023. On the proposal of Minister Schouten for Poverty Policy, Participation and Pensions, the Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of the members of the Parameters Committee.
In the new pension system and the transition to it, legal parameters will play a more extensive role. In the current pension system, pension providers already have to use parameters for a number of calculations, such as for the pension benefits that are communicated in a Uniform Pension Overview (UPO). The expanded role means, among other things, that economic scenarios are also needed for the assessment of. Because the last advice on these parameters was in 2019 and the current pension agreement had not yet been concluded at that time, a new, up-to-date advice was requested.
The composition of the Parameters Committee that will consider this is as follows:
- Prof. dr. Dr. F. de Vries (chairman);
- dr. RFT Aalbers;
- Prof. dr. Dr. C. van Ewijk;
- Prof. dr. Dr MG Knoef;
- Prof. dr. Dr SG van der Lecq;
- Prof. dr. Dr AAJ Pelsser;
- Prof. dr. Dr MH Vellekoop;
- Prof. dr. Dr. BJM Werker.
The Committee has been asked to issue this new advice on the legal parameters as of 1 January 2023. The advice is expected around the summer of this year.
