At AZ, it was secretly assumed that Milos Kerkez would leave, so a replacement was already contracted at the end of May. David Møller Wolfe was captured quickly and must make Kerkez forget as left back in Alkmaar.
Wolfe, 21, describes himself as “someone who likes to run up and down the left flank”. Exactly the quality in which Kerkez also excelled at AZ. Now that Kerkez is about to leave for the English Bournemouth, technical director Max Huiberts seems to no longer have to worry about the position of left back. Moreover, AZ also has Mees de Wit who can play in that spot.
Young Norway
Møller Wolfe, who has already played four international matches for Jong Norway, is pleased with the transition to the North Holland club. “It’s a perfect place to develop myself both as a person and as a player. When I heard that AZ was interested, I knew right away that I wanted to play here.”

AZ coach Pascal Jansen sees a bright future for Møller Wolfe. “I am very satisfied with David. Very interesting player with a lot of dynamics on the field. We would also like to play with our wing defenders. He reaches the back line and comes with crosses,” said Jansen.
