“I’m absolutely thrilled. It’s what I’ve always wanted – to stay here and play for this incredible club. Since my first day in Newcastle, I’ve felt very comfortable here, it’s like a second home and I’m happy that I can stay here for a few more years,” said Schär, who moved to Newcastle from Deportivo La Coruna in 2018 for €4 million had changed. Since then he has appeared in 98 games.
